Comprehensive Critical Illness benefit

Our Comprehensive Critical Illness benefit is extensive, covering 54 conditions including a wide range of cardiovascular and nervous system illnesses and procedures; various cancers; organ diseases, failures and transplants; loss of use of limbs; accidental HIV infection; and advanced AIDS, and offers a catch-all benefit.

This benefit also offers a children’s benefit, where children of the insured – from 6–months-old to 21–years–old (24 if the child is a full-time student) – can claim against any of the 54 conditions covered under this benefit.The benefit pays 15% of the benefit amount payable for that condition, subject to a maximum of R300 000. And the best part is, children’s claims don’t affect the life insured’s cover.
