Comprehensive Disability benefit
Our Comprehensive Disability benefit pays out should the insured become totally and irreversibly disabled and as a result, unable to work in their own or a similar occupation.
It also pays in the event of impairment:
Core impairment — the loss of use of limbs; loss of hearing, sight or speech; traumatic head injuries; permanent mental or cognitive impairment; and the inability to perform 2 or more daily activities.
Comprehensive impairment — specific respiratory, digestive, musculoskeletal, nervous, cardiovascular, and endocrine/urological/renal system conditions; cancer; mental and behavioural disorders; and advanced AIDS.
Our Comprehensive Disability benefit:
- Has no waiting period
- Only has 1 exclusion
- Covers occupational disability (linked to the insured’s own or a similar occupation), and core and comprehensive impairment
- Offers maximum cover of R10 million
