Business Overhead Protector
Our Business Overhead Protector is specifically designed for self-employed individuals, providing cover in the event that they become disabled and as a result, are unable to work in their occupation and run their business. Under these circumstances, the benefit will provide for the business’s overhead expenses.
Should the insured be a part of a partnership, close corporation or company, only their portion of the overhead expenses will be considered.
The overhead expenses covered include all normal expenses necessary for the day-to-day running of the business, including rent, utility bills, property taxes, interest payments on loans, equipment leasing costs, insurance premiums and auditing fees, and the salaries of staff.
Our Business Overhead Protector:
- Can be taken as a standalone or ancillary policy
- Has a minimum entry age of 18
- Has a maximum entry age of 56 next birthday, 61 next birthday, or 66 next birthday
- Can be taken on a level premium pattern or 5% compulsory escalation
- Offers 2 guarantee periods: fixed (10 years) or experience rated (annually reviewable)
- Maximum cover amount: R150 000 per month for 12 months
