Disability Income benefit

Our Disability Income benefit pays a monthly benefit to the life insured for 24 months should they become disabled and as a result, be unable to work in their occupation.

Plus, it offers a death benefit. In the event of death, the benefit pays out an amount equivalent to 1 month’s benefit amount while the policy is in force. A payment will be made regardless of whether or not the insured previously claimed, was in the process of claiming or had never claimed before.

Our Disability Income benefit:

• Has only 1 exclusion
• Automatically includes a Guaranteed Insurability benefit, travel benefit and a business continuation benefit
• Has a minimum entry age of 18
• Has a maximum entry age of 56 next birthday, 61 next birthday, or 66 next birthday
• Offers 2 guarantee periods: fixed (10 years) or experience rated (annually reviewable)
• Offers maximum cover of the lesser of R100 000 or 100% of previous earnings, depending on the combinations selected.
